This class will focus primarily on enhancing board vision, tactical awareness and mating skills. We will learn more advanced tactics such as discovered attacks, removal of the guard and the infamous back-rank mate. A great chess master once said, chess is 99% tactics, and this is the class to develop your tactical eye! Additionally, we will begin looking more closely at the endgame by familiarizing ourselves with some basic endgame theory.
